The heritage-listed chalet has a fascinating history: originally built as a board mill, the building was renovated several times and used as a nail factory from 1921 onward. It stood empty since the 1990s. In its stunning secluded location, we carefully restored the house between 2022 and 2024 based on historical photographs. The minimally designed wellness extension blends seamlessly into the landscape.
The newly built interior of the house is a wooden structure made from locally sourced spruce, while the original exterior walls of natural stone are insulated with wood fiber and clay. A private hydroelectric power plant and the solar roof provide the chalet with self-sufficient energy. High-quality materials, reduced to the essentials, with an authentic character.
